THE 2006 mLearning Seminar (10.00 – 12.30) and
The official opening of Pembrokeshire College DIGILABS (1:30)

The 2006 mLearning Seminar will take place on Tuesday 17th October 2006 at the MITEC Centre, Milford Haven.

Our plans for the day include a report on the mLearning project, the view from our learners, demonstrations of hardware and software and reflections on the future of mobile learning in Pembrokeshire.

Following this meeting the Pembrokeshire College digilabs will be officially opened at our main site in Haverfordwest, a video conference link will allow people attending the mLearning seminar to view and “virtually” take part in this event.

We hope these events will be well attended and have sent invitations to everyone we think might like to come. If you haven’t had an invitation and want to come, get in touch as soon as possible to book your place.

TECHNOLOGY ON TRIAL: on July 26th mlearners took part in a days activities using Pembrokeshire College’s Technology Invonation Centre and the, soon to be officially opened, Diglab (see above and credu.co.uk ). Mlearners were joined on the day by a group of English language students from the United Arab Emirates.

Participants took the chance to try out some of the latest new technology, competed in a “text message maze” and took part in a discussion about how the technology of the future would affect their lives.
